Gilead’s Ireland operations are responsible for manufacturing, quality control, packaging, and the release and distribution of the company’s products in the European Union and other international locations such as the countries supported by the Gilead Access Program.

Gilead Sciences has been investing significantly in expanding its operations in Ireland.Gilead Sciences announced a €45m investment plan in March 2023 to expand its operations at the Carrigtwohill facility in Cork, which will increase the facility’s storage and warehousing capacity and support various tasks, including manufacturing, quality control, packaging, and distribution of Gilead products. In 2020, Gilead invested €7 million to expand its Cork and Dublin operations. Currently, Gilead employs over 500 people in Ireland.
