What you’ll be doing day to day

  • You’ll work closely with LSC’s key clients, building good working relationships to best understand current and upcoming project recruitment and business needs
  • You’ll act as an ambassador for clients internally, providing client updates & sharing knowledge with the recruitment team to ensure clients’ business needs are understood, prioritised & delivered
  • You’ll take ownership for client-side administration in relation to scheduling consultant interviews, onboarding, performance feedback and contract negotiations
  • You will manage all client communications on behalf of multiple departments across LSC, ensuring a best-in-class customer service is delivered
  • You’ll organise client meetings to deliver presentations on LSC’s performance, seek feedback to improve service delivery and identify opportunities to grow business on client sites

What attracted you to a career in Account Management?
I was working in sales in the UK for 7 years, moving back to Ireland I wanted something in an account management space. I don’t enjoy cold-calling and hard-selling but maintaining business, dealing with people and building relationships is my strong point and what I really enjoy!

What do you like most about your day to day?
Working with a great team – at LSC we have our industry experts and people from very diverse backgrounds! It creates a very friendly culture, making it easy to ask questions and learn quickly. I love getting insight into the pharma industry, keeping up to date with clients projects, new drugs, vaccine development– it’s mind-blowing what’s happening with new technologies!

What keeps you motivated?
I love helping people and we work together here to solve problems! The role is structured, with lots of room for learning and progression. I’ve learned a lot about process, systems, organisation and planning since I joined LSC which makes life easier and takes the stress out of my day to day:  it’s a really nice environment to work in!

Is there anything about the job that surprised you?
I didn’t know a whole lot about the Life Sciences before joining LSC. But the structure and process here are designed to get you up to speed quickly, the team are from a mix of industry and diverse backgrounds so we all learn from one another. You don’t need to have a background in science or engineering, if you enjoy dealing with people professionally, are willing to work hard and learn you could do this job really well!
