WuXi Biologics, a leading global biologics provider (from discovery, through to commercialisation) with global clients in the biopharmaceutical and healthcare industries. The company is a relative newcomer to the Irish pharma scene, beginning operation in 2018, however, the corporation has settled well in its Dundalk campus and has already begun an expansion their facilities which are due to be completed in 2021 leading to the employment of over 400 staff.
This state-of-the-art “facility of the future” will be built upon the novel approach WuXi Biologics has pioneered deploying multiple single-use bioreactors for commercial biomanufacturing and is also designed to be able to run continuous bioprocessing, a next-generation manufacturing technology to be first implemented globally in this campus.
The jobs at the facility will range from manufacturing to technical and quality assurance roles as well as associated administration positions. When complete, WuXi Biologics Ireland will be the world’s largest facility using single-use bioreactor technology.
