Quality Control Laboratory Careers

The Pharma and Biopharma Quality Control (QC) Laboratory serves one of the most important functions in pharmaceutical production and control. A significant portion of the CGMP regulations pertain to the QC lab and product testing. With the rapid growth in the Irish Life Sciences and food sectors there is a significant and growing demand for experienced QC and laboratory professionals.

A number of our clients are expanding or establishing new laboratories and need professionals with experience in establishing best practice in their Laboratory processes and equipment. Requirements include knowledge of Laboratory management systems such as:

  • LIMS/ Empower;
  • Good Laboratory Practices (GLP);
  • Method Development & Method Validation;
  • Laboratory Calibration;
  • New Product Introduction (NPI); and
  • Tech Transfer.

With the growth of Biotech we are seeing an increased emphasis on the need to carry out environmental monitoring, water sampling and particulate measurement in all media types for both Microbial & non-Viable contaminants.

As always the need to understand and use standard laboratory process equipment such as HPLC, Gas Chromatography (GC), Electrophoresis, FTIR, Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), UV-Vis, Karl Fisher, Stability testing, Spectrophotometry, Western blot and UPLC (Ultra Performance liquid Chromatography) is key when you are presenting yourself to an organisation.

Today LSC work with leading Irish and multinational clients to resource their QC and Laboratory needs. We are always looking for experienced Scientists with an analytical ability and interest in working on fast paced projects.
