LSC have a great contract opportunity for a Senior Associate Buyer in a South Dublin based Biopharmaceutical company that specializes in secondary manufacturing activities such as Formulation, Fill Finish and Packaging.

Overview:
This person has ownership and manages procurement and supply plan to ensure that products and services are delivered on time for their respective assigned materials (including Primary Components and Single Use systems). In this role the Procurement Specialist Buyer will accurately forecast, plan & procure their materials ensuring that optimal supply inventory levels are in place to meet demand requirements whilst minimizing scrap risk and optimising and improving reliability, responsiveness, and stability of material supply.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Processing:
- Completion of deliverables in a timely manner as part of the Amgen network Raw Material planning cycle to ensure material availability for use.
- Implement purchase and inventory strategies for materials / components and execute on component ordering by managing Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders in ERP (SAP/ECC).
- Ensure cost efficient, dependable supply of raw materials including appropriate use of freight options and inventory management.
Data Management:
- Setup and maintain accurate Procurement Material Master & Supplier Data.
- Responsible for ensuring all data entered into Amgen systems is accurate and current to enable accurate reporting and KPI management and appropriate escalation.
- Support new product introductions by setting up new materials, provide planning and other relevant information.
Procurement Management:
- Lead and drive improvement in Procurement Performance as measured by procurement key KPIs (including vendor OTIF performance, Scrap Mitigation Process, etc).
- Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives using best in class problem solving techniques (Oliver Wight Class A principles, 6?, LEAN) applying Operational Excellence tools to drive Procurement Performance as measured by procurement key KPIs.
Preferred Additional Qualifications / Experience:
- Master's Degree or APICS certification.
- Lean / 6 Sigma Green Belt trained / certified.
- Rapid Response Experience or equivalent planning tools.
- Experience working and implementing Oliver Wight Class A principles.
- End to End Supply Chain Planning Experience / Knowledge.
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
