LSC have a great contract opportunity for a Process Engineer to join a leading medical device company based in Limerick. The companies FDA regulated Limerick facility has grown consistently over the last 20 years to become one of the most important sites in its global operations. This facility specialises in the production of disposable contact lenses in a state of the art operation which includes injection moulding, robotics, vision systems and sterilisation systems in a Class 100,000 cleanroom environment.

If you have a Primary Degree (Level 8) in Process, Production, Manufacturing, Polymer, Materials, Biomedical or Mechanical engineering with minimum 4 years experience and are ready for your next challenge, this could be the perfect project for you!

ABOUT THE PROJECT – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Responsible for identification and implementation of process related continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
o Ensure all process developments and improvements meet the Quality Management System requirements (ISO 13485, FDA & JPAL).
o Strong analytical approach to problem solving to deliver innovative solutions.
o Lead and work in cross functional teams.
o Demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethos within the team
o Engage with the appropriate personnel in the identification and resolution of Corrective/Preventative actions to address Quality, Technical, and Manufacturing issues (Audit Actions, NCR s, CAPA s, etc).
o Project Management Accurate planning, timely delivery and reporting for all project deliverables.
o Participate in risk assessments and HAZOPs of manufacturing processes and equipment

ABOUT YOU – ARE YOUR SKILLS A MATCH?
o Relevant experience with statistical process control and capability analysis required.
o Achievement of Six Sigma/Green Belt/Black Belt accreditation would be a distinct advantage.
o Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, root cause analysis and risk assessments with a strong attention to detail.
