ABOUT THE PROJECT - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role will be a member of the Digital & Technology Group, located in Cork. The position will shape the technology strategy within the team and the site, focusing on data democratization, systems, infrastructure, Industry 4.0/IoT, and visualization tools. The role requires an understanding of Pharma process fundamentals, the Software Development Lifecycle, and the Asset Management lifecycle. It also requires the ability to implement Lean Manufacturing and/or Process Excellence tools in a Pharma environment.
The Digital & Technology Engineer will strive to perform to high standards at all times, They will act as a role model for colleagues and provide leadership on a wide range of technical projects, ensuring alignment between team members. They will collaborate successfully with other functions on the site's data strategy and lead the execution of projects to achieve business goals and realise value.
- They will partner closely with local and global teams to ensure digital strategies are interpreted and implemented in an appropriate manner on the site.
- They will proactively promote Digital & Technology as a key tool for decision making, driving value for the business. To do so, they will have in-depth knowledge of lifecycle management of digital assets and be adept in business relationship management, ensuring Digital & Technology is meeting business requirements.
- They will build suitable training courses and training material and facilitate knowledge transfer to improve site and global performance.
- They will ensure the safe execution of job activities and follow good environmental practices.
- They will certify that Digital & Technology documentation is controlled and approved in accordance with site procedures.
- They will engage with global and CoE functions to deploy technologies and systems that will drive efficiencies across the site.
- They will challenge the status quo and drive improvement through suitable adoption of new technologies and improved approaches to operations.
ABOUT YOU - ARE YOUR SKILLS A MATCH?
Essential:
- Third level Degree in engineering, science, or an IT field.
- Data Solutions Expert or related experience.
- Four years' of confirmed experience within a pharmaceutical or GMP regulated manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of end-to-end data flows, data architecture and database structures; strong SQL skills and knowledge of ongoing data engineering utilising Databricks to access Azure data.
- Ability to work individually or collaborate and operate as part of a team in highly interdependent environment is critical.
- Project Management skills (SCRUM, Agile, FPX, Waterfall) and track record of leading projects to deployment stages.).
- Experience using rShiny statistics programming software
Desirable:
- Consistent record in data management systems and infrastructure.
- Understanding of the ISA S95 & S88 standards and implementation within the Global Supply Chain
- Good understanding of asset management/maintenance systems (ERP, CMMS) and S95 systems (Level 1, 2 and 3 such as MES PAS-X, OSI-PI, and IT infrastructure and hardware; Level 4 systems such as SAP, Quality Systems, Data warehouses, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to act with autonomy and independence while fulfilling priorities and meeting critical deadlines.
- Extensive experience of visualization solutions such as Tableau, Python, R studio and manipulating Pi data for trending purposes.
- Good appreciation of Industry 4.0/IoT and how transformation can optimally be achieved within this framework.
