Children driving innovation for the future

Engineers week 2017 is running from the 4th to the 10th of March and is a week-long programme of nationwide events celebrating the world of engineering in Ireland. The aim of the week is to create a positive awareness of and spark enthusiasm about the engineering profession among young people with little or no engineering background.

LSC are holding a fun and creative event which will allow children to explore their creative side and develop an understanding for the potential of STEM as a subject choice at second level, while also promoting engineering as a career choice.

As a company founded by and staffed with Engineers (and Scientists) LSC are excited to be hosting two x 90 minute workshops to release the creative, innovative and inventive potential of children in Cork.  Each workshop will involve your child working on a team and using recycled materials to design, build and test their creations. There will be a creative artist there during the event to facilitate the workshop and ensure the children have a great time.

This event is free to 5th & 6th class primary school students, but places are limited and you must register your child in advance.

One workshop will run at 2pm and the second one will run at 4pm please click below to register your child’s details.

This event is being run by LSC in association with National Engineers Week 2017.
