ABOUT THE PROJECT - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Automation Engineer is responsible for the configuration, implementation, maintenance and ongoing support of various small Manufacturing equipment specific applications and Systems in a cGMP environment.
- Provides end-user support for Small Manufacturing Equipment Applications including troubleshooting problems issues and appropriately communicates items to management, business process owner and users.
- Responsible for generating Automation documentation such as SOPs, Work Instructions and Configuration Specification documents.
- Performs daily business administrative tasks related to functional support and general user account administration.
- Provides SME support and works closely with functional departments on projects to develop, implement and enhance systems.
- Implements software/hardware changes and upgrades, understands impact of actions to Manufacturing and Facilities.
- Provides assistance prior to, during and post Regulatory/Partner inspections.
- Supports Automation change control requests.
- Participates or may lead Small Manufacturing Equipment projects to introduce new equipment or upgrade existing applications.
- Works with Validation and Quality departments to ensure Automation Applications associated with small Mfg equipment are implemented following development life cycle approach.
- Participates or may lead Small Manufacturing Equipment Applications security access and periodic audit trail reviews.
ABOUT YOU - ARE YOUR SKILLS A MATCH?
- BS/BA or higher in Science, Engineering, Instrumentation, Information Technology or related field, and minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred. May substitute relevant experience for education.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in project management helpful
- Ability to problem Solve
