Our client is the predominant supplier of automation systems to the biotechnology manufacturing sector in Ireland. Based in Ireland for over 15 years, the company has market leading automation and MES systems as well as associated hardware and field instrumentation. The company is looking to significantly increase their team to meet the growth in the sector in Ireland. With offices in both Cork and Dublin, these roles will give opportunities to work on the process automation of major pharma and biotech projects, implementing new technologies and developing industry leading manufacturing information systems. The Irish offices provides automation solutions to the Life Science sector across Europe, with Ireland being the center of excellence for the company’s flagship MES product.

With a large installed base of automation systems in Ireland across most of Irelands biotech manufactures, the company has significant opportunities available in both on site and office based roles. These roles will involve significant interfacing with the client, modelling the process, developing functional specifications and managing the automation delivery of individual process areas.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to advance their career on the companies talent management programme with significant training on both automation and MES systems as well as industry trends, new technologies and exposure to pharma and biotech processes.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Engineering Group Leader will be primarily responsible for maintaining and developing an Engineering team capable of executing projects, including providing support to the Operations Manager in the recruitment of new Engineering staff.
They shall maintain and develop a team that: has a skill set profile aligned with the business forecast, the wider UKI Engineering team and the 5 year strategic plan; can deliver projects effectively and efficiently by utilising the available productivity tools and remote Engineering centres.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
– Degree in Engineering/Science Discipline
– Delta V DCS background/experience essential
– Experience in senior leadership roles essential
– Experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry
