Metrology Engineer required for a contract with LSC’s multinational medical device client based in Cork. The Cork facility is a global centre for product development, manufacturing and supply chain. This is an excellent opportunity for a Metrology Engineer who will support the introduction of measurement equipment and projects.

Responsibilities:
-Lead activities to identify, investigate and develop a portfolio of inspection technologies to be deployed in our manufacturing plants to improve Quality and Value across the site.
-Interface with Quality, Operations and Engineering teams across the client’s site to identify needs, opportunities and capabilities and to ensure the successful deployment of technologies within the sites.
-Work with all value stream and plants worldwide to analyze rationale, investment requirements, development timing, market potential, and return on investment for all new technology
-Oversee the specification and purchase of capital equipment during development ensuring balance between optimizing technological capabilities and return on investment.
-Identify and establish a research capability platform that will enable transformational changes in process capability at the site with particular focus on Inspection, Process analytical technology (PAT), Automation and Integration.

Qualifications and Experience:
-5+ years’ experience in Science, Engineering or a related Discipline and a Degree in Science, Engineering or a related Discipline
-Previous project management & people management expertise on developing and implementing new technologies.
-Proven Track Record in an Engineering Role within a Life Sciences Organisation
-Desirable: Ph.D or equivalent experience withe xperience in multiple verticals across Life Sciences (Pharma, Med Tech, Bio)
