Rest assured that we’ll check-in with you a few days prior to your start date to make sure you have everything you need to hit the ground running. If you have any questions or special needs, whether it’s equipment or access to specific resources, please let us know during this conversation.

Dress Code

The dress code on our client sites is smart casual. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about our dress code or if you require clarification.

Onboarding Portal and Documentation

As part of our onboarding process, you’ll have been given access to our onboarding portal. This portal is where we gather and action the necessary LSC onboarding information, the client documentation and limited company details (if applicable). Your contract will also be sent to you via the portal for review and e-signature. We ask that you complete all outstanding items on the portal prior to your start in your new roIe. If at any stage you are having trouble accessing the onboarding portal, please get in touch with us at [email protected] and we will send you a temporary password to gain entry. You can then set it to something more personal thereafter. Your username is the email address we have on file for you. If you have any questions regarding the documentation that needs to be completed, you can contact Mel.

Communication

At LSC, we promote open and transparent communication. If you come across any issues or concerns, like those listed below, which could potentially impact your start date or your work, please let us know. For instance:

  • Challenges related to finding accommodation and relocation (if applicable)
  • Previously scheduled holidays
  • Any transportation-related concerns
  • Anything else that might affect your work

PPE

If you find yourself in need of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as helmets, hi-vis jackets and vests you can rely on us to supply these items. However, should you need additional gear, such as safety goggles or boots, the responsibility for acquiring them lies with you. If you are a PAYE contractor, we will reimburse you for the cost of these additional items once proof of purchase is provided. If you are operating as a Limited company, the cost will be your own responsibility. Feel free to reach out to Mel if you require any PPE.

Buddy System

We understand that starting in a new environment can be both exciting and challenging. That’s why we have a buddy system in place. Your assigned buddy will be an existing LSC contractor on site who will act as a point of contact for you for, providing you with general information, guidance and encouragement during your first few weeks of employment. Finance and Payroll

In your first week, you can expect to hear from our Finance team. They’ll provide you with all the necessary information regarding our payroll package and any financial matters related to your contract. If you have any financial questions, they’ll be the experts to consult! Contact the team here.

Regular Communications

As an integral component of our consultant success programme, we take the time to regularly connect with you at different stages throughout your contract, not only to understand how you are getting on in your role but also to offer you support wherever it may be needed. You will also receive regular emails from us on a variety of topics including a monthly newsletter, career development, upskilling opportunities, industry news and updates and many more.

Contract Renewals

We understand that, while you’re focusing on finding your feet in the first few months of your contract, the thought of contract renewals might be in the back of your mind.

Rest assured, we keep track of all upcoming renewals and at 3 months prior to the end of your current contract, we begin to liaise with our client on a potential renewal. We may not receive feedback immediately but please be reassured that we continue to follow up at regular intervals until feedback is received. We will endeavor to keep you updated throughout this process and once feedback is received, you will be the first to know. We would also ask that you keep us updated if you hear anything internally too. The vast majority of contracts are renewed. If your contract is renewed and you accept, the relevant paperwork will be sent to you via our online onboarding portal for review and e-signature.
