LSC has an exciting opportunity for a Small Molecule Process Engineer (User Rep) to join a pharmaceutical company in Cork.
This will be a dynamic environment that is constantly innovating, relies on cutting-edge technology to deliver life-saving medicines. You will be working in a site that supplies active ingredients through complex chemical synthesis and biotechnology manufacturing processes for a range of therapeutics.
Role Purpose:
Representing the business in interactions with capital project delivery team in the small molecule API business.
Supporting;
- Capacity expansion projects in small molecule API business to enable increased throughput of our commercial and pipeline products.
- Facility modernisation projects in older SM production buildings to recapitalise end-of-life equipment.
- Building / site utility infrastructural improvement projects.
- NPI and supply process engineering teams as need arises.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Liaise with business stakeholders to represent the needs of the business with the capital project team
- Ability to understand and translate higher-level business needs into a coherent scope and tangible user requirements that can be actioned by a project team
- Establish concise user requirements and collaborate effectively across multiple functions to enable safe and on-time project delivery
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum ten years' experience in API manufacturing and / or capital project delivery such as;
- Conceptual design and ability to think strategically.
- Equipment/Process Design and capital project delivery.
- C&Q planning, test execution and effective implementation strategies
- Experience in process safety and qualification compliance aspects of API manufacturing and project delivery.
