Job Description

LSC have a great contract opportunity for a Buyer/Planner to join a leading medical device company based in Limerick. The companies FDA regulated Limerick facility has grown consistently over the last 20 years to become one of the most important sites in its global operations. This facility specialises in the production of disposable contact lenses in a state of the art operation which includes injection moulding, robotics, vision systems and sterilisation systems in a Class 100,000 cleanroom environment.

The Buyer/Planner will be responsible for:

o Execution as Back-up for a Core Planning Area

o Planning of finished goods for sales warehouses and distribution centres to meet sales and distribution demand.

o Raw Material availability; working closely with suppliers to deliver materials as plan and follow agreed criteria, i.e. MOQ, Remaining shelf-life.

o Execution and development of reports to keep service management aware of potential trends, shortages, back orders, and status of service as required.

The Buyer/Planner requires:

o A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, a focus in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Logistics is preferred

o A minimum of four (4) years of supply chain operations including (logistics, planning, forecasting, distribution, warehouse and procurement) experience is required
