LSC are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team based in our Kinsale office!

We are currently expanding our internal team and have a great opportunity for a someone with accounts experience to progress their career in this booming industry. This a brand-new role in LSC and offers a great opportunity for future career progression.

What will you do?

The general responsibilities of the role are as follows:
o Create and issue sales invoices at month end in accordance with specified client procedures
o Actively manage the aged debtors' ledger to ensure all invoices are paid to terms. Follow up with clients in relation to overdue items.
o Process client remittances received daily and send queries to clients were issues arise.
o Set up client accounts and manage their POs on an ongoing basis
o Preparing monthly bank reconciliation on receivable accounts.
o Preparation of month end prepayments
o Resolving any client queries in an efficient and professional manner
o Preparation of client reporting on a monthly & quarterly basis
o Assisting with auditor queries
o Supporting the financial controller in general accounts related work as needed

The ideal person for this role will have:
o Minimum 3 years' experience in a busy fast paced accounts environment
o Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent communication skills both written & verbal
o Ability to operate as part of a team is critical & also ability to self-manage and work independently
o Customer focus & innovative
o Process-oriented with excellent attention to detail
o Adaptable and with the ability to spot areas of improvement
o Deadline orientated
o Results and performance driven

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
o Third level in business/finance, accounting technician or part qualified accounting qualification desirable
o Strong IT skills and strong MS Excel skills
o Experience in Sage 50 and Sage payroll would be an advantage
o Familiarity with Database use and reporting would be beneficial
