We work to promote upskilling in the Life Sciences, through our Consultant Success Programme and involvement with industry bodies and academia. Last year LSC participated in the Regional Skills forum alongside leading companies in the Life Sciences to develop this new Cert in Validation Science \u2013 in response to employer demand across the Life Science and Engineering sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The course feedback has been hugely positive so far and here\u2019s what some of our consultants had to say:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #e11757;\"><em>\u201cDelighted with the course and the opportunity to complete it following course information provided by LSC. Guest lectures and content were excellent covering all aspects of the production sequence in a Biopharmaceutical plant to new technologies in Med Devices.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #e11757;\"><em>\u201cFound the course and notes excellent. The guest lectures by Industry experts at PM, Alcon, and Janssen were really beneficial. The project in the second semester provided a great opportunity to collaborate as part of a team and share knowledge\u201d.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>LSC\u2019s Consultant Success Programme launched a year ago this month. It was put in place to support and facilitate our consultants to develop in their current roles and to reach their long-term career goals. The Certificate in Validation Science is just one of the courses we provided advice on as part of this programme due to it\u2019s relevance and demand in industry (90% Springboard funding was available, making the course very accessible to those in employment).<\/p>\n<p>At LSC we see CPD as part of our long-term relationship with our consultants and the importance of keeping up to date with courses and skills that are sought after in the work place. We were delighted to participate in the Regional Skills Forum with leading Life Science companies (<a href=\"\/?page_id=7558\">Janssen Biologics<\/a>, MSD Brinny, <a href=\"\/?page_id=7589\">Eli Lilly<\/a>, <a href=\"\/?page_id=7598\">BioMarin<\/a>, PM Group, Alcon, Boston Scientific, Astellas, Sanmina, Hovione and DPS) and colleges across the South West to bring the course to fruition with the aim of developing skills across the South-West region.
