Within the Life Science industry, in particular the Biotech sector, the rate of change and growth is staggering. This presents fantastic opportunities for highly skilled professionals to work on the most interesting and technologically advanced projects. However as much as this investment and technology growth is driving a need for consultants to be technically capable, we are also seeing an increased emphasis on the importance of soft skills to adapt to this accelerating pace of change.<\/p>\n<p>Our consultants are extremely busy and taking the time to research professional development training\/courses can be tedious and time consuming. As part of our commitment to taking the hassle out of contracting we have added the consultant success programme to help our consultants develop in their current role and reach their career goals.<\/p>\n<h3>What can be expected from the Consultant Success Programme?<\/h3>\n<p>Gina O\u2019Brien has joined the team and will lead this initiative, providing support and facilitating Continuous Professional Development to help our consultants achieve ongoing professional success. Gina has nine years\u2019 experience working in the Life Science sector in Quality and Training positions. Having worked in both staff and contract roles, Gina has hands-on knowledge of our client\u2019s organisations and a clear understanding of the skills these companies require for their teams.<\/p>\n<p>All LSC consultants will be contacted by Gina and offered the opportunity to engage with the programme. Gina will be making onsite visits and partnering with our consultants to tailor career development plans and progress this initiative based on individual needs and priorities.<\/p>\n<h3>What has happened so far?<\/h3>\n<p>In June we kick started the programme when we reached out to our consultants to find out what they wanted out of this initiative! We\u2019ve had extremely positive feedback so far with 93% confirming a keen interest in engaging with this programme. Based on these results we have organised a number of high priority soft skills workshops for Autumn 2018.<\/p>\n<p>We are also in the process of formalising a mentoring programme to promote personal development and knowledge sharing among the LSC professional contractor network.<\/p>\n<p>Although the Consultant Success Programme is exclusive to current LSC consultants we will be giving the wider contractor community the opportunity to attend our <strong>Tax and Financial planning seminar<\/strong> this Autumn.
