As part of Science week 2017 LSC held a Science Fair in Kinsale – open to all our contractors, all in the community and the turnout was fantastic! On the day we encouraged children and their families to visit interactive exploration tables where our Hands on Science helpers led them through a number of science activities! Some of the demonstrations included creating a tornado in a bottle, training our pet squids, turning your body into an electronic switch and investigation into the size of your lungs and reaction rates! \u00a0We held a fast-paced \u201cSeeing is Believing\u201d science show every hour, with lots of wow factor and audience participation; it certainly got curious minds thinking \u2013 both adults and children alike!<\/p>\n
The aim of the day was to promote science to children and to open young minds to the possibilities a future in science might hold! The positive feedback we received throughout the day was amazing and on hearing science kits have been added to Santa\u2019s list we can confirm our goal was achieved!<\/p>\n
At LSC we are committed to supporting and encouraging children to consider a future in STEM as we understand the young minds of today will fuel the long-term success of the Life Science industry in Ireland.<\/p>\n
