LSC have an excellent opportunity for an Automation Engineer to join our team at our Athlone based biopharmaceutical client.
The Automation Engineer is responsible for configuration, operation, maintenance, and administration of the process and facility control and data historian systems
The Automation Engineer you will be responsible for:
o Work independently, or with third party system integrators, to configure and implement all automation systems in the Athlone Manufacturing Facility
o Develop, review and approve design documentation
o Develop, review and approve all project standards
o Provide automation expertise to the engineering and operations department on design and sustaining decisions
o Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure the future compliance and management of all automation systems
o Ensure all automation systems are delivered and maintained in a compliant and qualified state
The Automation Engineer you will require:
o Degree level qualification in Computer Science or Engineering
o Direct experience maintaining controls networks and communications by Profibus.
o Experience with Siemens PLC’s/platforms and Wonderware.
o Experience of virtualization platforms is a plus, as is IT experience.
o Experience of working within a pharmaceutical environment is required.
o Proven experience (greater than 5 years) in working and delivering automation projects within both a projects and sustaining environment.
