LSC are resourcing Materials Engineers for a 18 month contract with a large multinational orthopaedics manufacturing facility based in Cork. Working in the Cluster Materials Development group , the primary role of the Materials Engineer is develop advanced manufacturing processes for the implementation of materials technologies and innovative processes.
The Materials Engineer will:
o Project Leadership responsibility for process design, development and validation projects
o Apply Engineering, Materials and Process knowledge to the design, development & validation of innovative metal-forming technologies that are scalable across the global DePuy Synthes manufacturing network
o Foster collaborative relationships with Source, Procurement, Research & Development, Engineering and Operations to facilitate development and validation of manufacturing processes
o Engage with key technology partners to develop processes that best support the delivery of business objectives
o Manage key project stakeholders throughout the business through effective and timely communications of meaningful data
The Materials Engineer requires:
o BEng in Engineering or BSc in Material Sciences with ?6 years’ experience within a medical device company or similar regulated industry
or Ph.D. qualification in Material Sciences or in Engineering with ?4 years’ experience within a medical device company or similar industry
o Project management experience
o Process and/or product development and validation experience
