Job Description

LSC are currently looking for a Project Controls Manager for our Cork based Biotech client.

The Project Controls Manager will report to the Capital Projects Manager, Projects Controls Manager oversees project controls for engineering and construction projects. Responsible for project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and monitoring. Manages project controls personnel. Establishes operating policies to mitigate risk. Provides guidance and consultation for project managers.
Responsible for integration of Primavera P6 onsite, roll out and implementation of same on site.
Project progress reporting, project procurement support, subcontracts co-ordination and the development of financial compliance procedures for capital projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
oProvide project controls management, including baseline schedule development and management, performance status and reporting, baseline change control, risk management, earned value management guidance and tools.
oAdvice and consult on the application of effective planning techniques and controls (earned value, cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion, critical path analysis).
oSupport programme integration, governance, formats, plan optimisation, and project controls best practices.
oSupport and advise on the definition of Project Controls policies, procedures and the standards required to deliver projects. Taking an active role in global projects control standardization and development of best practices.
oSupport the development of integrated master schedules for specific programmes in Primavera and/or oMicrosoft Project that reflect all interface milestones and activity durations from multiple schedules
oMonitor and control programme compliance in respect of the projects contractual obligations.

EDUCATION:
University Degree or college diploma in Science, Engineering or related field.

EXPERIENCE:
oMinimum of 5 years’ experience in project management or scheduling or other relevant role within a oPharmaceutical / Medical Devices / GMP environment.
oThe ability to work effectively within a team environment and to interact successfully across divisional boundaries.
oRapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
oAbility to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments.
oGood understanding of relationship between quality, engineering and operations.
oSound technical knowledge of design of biotech facilities incl process, equipment, piping and other key design disciplines
